Located in southwestern Spain, Cádiz is one of the country's most underrated and yet phenomenal travel destinations. As one of the oldest inhabited cities in Europe, travelers can expect many historic attractions, from the Torre Tavira watchtower to the grandiose Cádiz Cathedral. You can also explore several beautiful outdoor spaces including Genovés Park and the laid-back beaches of La Victoria and La Caleta. When you want to wind down, Plaza de España and Plaza de San Juan de Dios are excellent places to people-watch.

Like many of Spain’s older cities, it has an old town. But unlike those other cities, the Cadiz old town is really, really old and is one of the largest in area in Europe. Packed with everything from an open aire market to numerous plazas, epicurean restaurants of every type and shopping galore, Cadiz is a never ending discovery. Lastly, don’t forget taking a walk or bike ride down to the unending stretch of white sand beaches where you can sip cocktails in the sand.
