Alicante is the party and play area all too well known to those in the EU but typically invisible to those from other countries. And the EU folks like it that way, keeping the glorious beaches, fantastic restaurants and non-stop parties to themselves. With all of this under the watchful eye of the centuries old castle on the top of the mountain, the Alicante marina, beaches and historic old town provide a wealth of experience to all who are fortunate enough to discover it.
With direct and low cost flights and train service from all major Spanish towns, Alicante is super easy to access. Hotels, tourist rentals and even boat rentals are available ranging from economy to five stars. The high season runs from late may with their one week non-stop street party, Las Hogueras de San Juan, in mid-June until last September. Although due to the mild weather, all year in Alicante is popular with fun galore. You can also take their beach line tram up the coast to visit several other beach towns, such as Benidorm and Denia.
