A European-style hotel named Palácio Santa Clara with ornate architecture, and decorative details in the heart of Valencia.
A bar scene with colorful drinks, tablets, and candies on a dark marble table. A hand with a blue ring is holding a drink, with a bar filled with bottles and glassware in the background.

Like a diminutive zenith that presents itself to you when you least expect it, the Placio Santa Clara Hotel does just that. Near the bull fighting ring (yep, no kidding) between the Gran Via del Marques and Carrer de Colon sits this hotel of perfection, except for the high prices. But if you want to step back in time, visit this hotel and make sure to take a peak at the stairway on your way to the restrooms (aseos) on the main floor. The reason it is here under entertainment, is made clear when you also visit the Modernista bar on the main floor!

I don’t own stock in the Placio Santa Clara Hotel but after you visit its rooftop bar like me you’ll wish you did. Just take the elevator to the top floor and walk around the corner to behold some of the best rooftop views and coolest little swimming pool in Valencia. Usually the ladies in the pool provide additional eye candy too! Then walk into the rotunda bar and behold one of the coolest bars you’ve ever seen. Wish my living room looked like that… The drinks are excellent, although like the bar downstairs not cheap. But what the heck, just one wouldn’t hurt! Or two, or three… need I go on?

Street view of a building with balconies filled with plants, a colorful graffiti mural on the wall, and a bar called 'Botanista' with a black entrance door and signage for cocktails and tequila.

If you’re an Ex-pat or just wish you were one, this super hip bar in the center of old town is where it’s at. The owner bar tender speaks fluent English, Spanish, Italian and I think Alien too. He and his wife are always there so you can bend their ear with questions and the occasional answer why you sip, or in my case gulp, amazing cocktails in the heart of the city. Don’t forget to ask their suggestions on great places to eat or party afterwards, if you can still walk…

The exterior of a venue called MASON LUPIN decorated with festive string lights and greenery under a green awning, illuminated with red and blue lights.

Deep in the heart of the Eixample neighborhood of rich surroundings and richer experiences is the Maison Lupin bar. Not just any bar in what we call the party corner, but a frickin cool bar that will make you want to spend the whole night there or what’s left of it. All the bars on this corner stay open to 3am, but don’t ask me how I know! I won’t give anything away but the way they serve the awesome drinks is quite unusual and super fun. Not to be outdone by the interior which as you can tell from the outside entrance is a once in a lifetime experience. Enjoy!!!
